Amelie Haworth brings English Open squash title back to the island

Amelie Haworth, from Godshill, seeded number 1, is now the English Open Squash Champion at Under-13 level. Amelie overcame second seed Amy Campbell-Wynter in just 20 minutes winning 11-5, 11-5, 11-5.

Both Amelie and Amy dominated the competition, each dropping only one game in reaching the final.

Amelie now holds two national titles having won the French Open last month in Lille.

Amelie and her team now have the long journey back to the island from Hull and it is back to school in Ryde in the morning.
