We’re very excited to be hosting the first Godshill Christmas Market on Saturday 16th December from 2pm through to 8pm. All of our lovely businesses will be open throughout this time and they will be collectively involved in a children’s treasure hunt.
We have over 40 craft stalls, selling all things Christmassy. You will find these in the coaches area of the Old Smithy car park. You’ll also be spoilt for choice when it comes to having a bite to eat. Many, many food stalls bringing you everything from hotdogs, soup and crusty bread, fish and chips, to Christmas burgers, paninis, toasties and other wintery and warming treats.
Next to the free car park you will find music and fun in the Methodist Chapel. For the children there will be children’s crafts and face painting in the hall at the back. In the body of the chapel there will be a series of festive music. It kicks off with the HarmoniX choir between 3pm and 4pm followed by the Stenbury Federation choir through to 5pm. Then from 6.30pm-7.30pm you can grab a drink and take a seat to listen to saxophonist Marie Smith. But it doesn’t stop there because you will still be able to grab a hot chocolate or let the children get creative!
Santa will be turning up to welcome the children in his grotto at Godshill Primary School. He is excited and looking forward to meeting you all between 3pm-5pm and 6pm-8pm. A visit to Santa will cost just £3 per child, which includes a gift and plenty of photo opportunities.
Also at the school you will find hot drinks, cakes, mince pies and sausage rolls. Whilst you catch your breath with a cup of tea and a slice of cake, you can take part in a short, 10 question, around the world quiz; or, a little later, watch the Lynette Bailey school of Irish Dance perform from 5.15pm. You’ll also find further stalls in the school hall too! Here we will also have all the information about our two charities: KissyPuppy and Godshill Village Hall.
So, make it a date – Godshill Christmas Market – Saturday 16th December 2pm-8pm – we look forward to welcoming you to our wonderfully festive village.
