The newest bus in the Southern Vectis fleet is strutting its stuff on routes 2 and 3 through Godshill today.
This bus is the first in the fleet to accept contactless payment and is expected to increase accessibility and speed up overall journey times.
It is a brand new ADL Enviro 400 MMC double decker vehicle. This impressive vehicle brings with it a whole host of on-board technology – including free WiFi and USB charging points for those with smartphones and hand-held devices.
The bus is also the first on the island to be equipped with the very latest low emissions Euro 6 engine – making it kinder to the environment.
Whilst it offers the contactless ticketing option, passengers are still able to use existing payment methods such as cash and the Key.
