A resounding win by 10 wickets against near-neighbours Ventnor II ensured that Shanklin and Godshill CC 1st XI gained promotion to Hampshire County Division 2. They are promoted alongside Bashley (Rydal) III from Division 3 South and next season will need to venture further into north island for their away matches.
The club was formed in 1871 and consisting now of a 1st & 2nd XI, Midweek & Sunday XI, an Evergreen’s (Seniors) side plus 3 Junior sides (u11, u13, u15).
