At just after 9 o’clock this morning, two cars, a Daihatsu Sirion and a Ford Focus (and possibly others) were involved in a glancing head-on crash on Shanklin Road, Godshill. The incident occurred on a wide section of the A3020 running east out of the village at the junction with the access road to Godshill Park Farm.
One person has been taken to hospital but injuries are not thought to be serious. The cause of the crash, within the 30 mph limit, is currently unknown.
The road blockage was cleared efficiently and quickly by the two fire and rescue service teams in attendance.
