We have just added to our “Walks around Godshill” page. The new walk is not for the faint hearted as it is a full 19 miles!
This walk, courtesy of GPS Cycles and Walking Routes, follows the Yar River from its source near Niton and eventually ending up at Bembridge Harbour. The walk takes you through the beautiful Isle of Wight countryside and passes through the pretty villages of Godshill, Newchurch and Brading. The trail passes ancient manor houses at Morton and Great Budbridge, and also includes six trail side sculptures by local artist Paul Mason. This is a nice, flat easy waterside walk with plenty to see on the trail.
Our page of walks is split into two groups, circular walks which start and finish at the FREE public car park on Godshill High Street (where there are also FREE public conveniences) and end-to-end walks which include Godshill.
