Worseley, Wyverns and Appuldurcombe – another walk added

We have just added to our “Walks around Godshill” page. The new walk is a variation on several others and was one of the walks used in the Isle of Wight Walking Festival in 2011.

Godshill is a wonderful location for walkers as it has a free car park and a whole network of footpaths, bridleways and trails heading south from the village centre.

This walk takes you on two loops with part of the red squirrel trail joining them. It passes along part of the Worsley Trail and, if you are feeling reasonably energetic, you can hop over the style on the stone wall and climb up to the Worsley Obelisk. You will be really glad you made the effort. The views in all directions are spectacular.

Our page of walks is split into two groups, circular walks which start and finish at the FREE public car park on Godshill High Street (where there are also FREE public conveniences) and end-to-end walks which include Godshill.

If you know of any other walks on the internet that involve Godshill and also include good directions and even photos, do let us know so that we can add links to them.
