On Sunday and Monday Godshill Saw flash floods unlike anything seen in the village for decades. On Sunday afternoon over 60mm of rain fell in a very short time culminating in rivers flowing down valleys and roads and areas, including School Crescent, Moor View and the High Street experiencing deep flood water. Whilst rivers of water were seen pouring over walls and through gardens, as far as we are aware, there have been no major floods in households.
