Cllr Suzie Ellis was elected unopposed at a meeting of the group on Thursday (13th July) evening.
She is the first woman to lead the Isle of Wight Conservatives.
Suzie has represented our Central Rural ward since the 2021 local elections on the Island – a role she combines with running her own business.
As many of us are aware, since being elected two years ago, she has focused on local issues such as: concerns with planning enforcement and applications; tackling flooding; plus traffic and road safety problems, including pushing for improvements outside primary schools.
