At its meeting on 5th October 2020 Godshill Parish Council agreed to undertake the refurbishment of its public conveniences. After considering several alternatives the Council plan to replace the current facilities within the current building with modular units from Danfo.
One of the units will be for the disabled and will include baby changing facilities. The cost of the refurbishment and improved facilities is estimated to be £80,000. This sum is planned to be met from existing reserves (£30,000) and a low cost 20-year loan from the Public Works Loan Board (PWLB). There is no forecast increase in the annual precept arising from the project as annual savings in utility bills, maintenance and cleaning costs are estimated to cover the cost of loan repayments.
Godshill Parish Council wishes to know if residents are in favour of this proposed project.
